GridLoupe is a macOS app for browsing and reviewing images in folders you choose. Your images are processed on your Mac. The app does not require an account, send your images to us, or include analytics or advertising SDKs.
Images and metadata
When you open a folder or image, GridLoupe reads the files needed to display thumbnails, previews, and details such as dimensions and camera metadata. This processing happens locally on your Mac. GridLoupe does not upload these files or their metadata to the developer.
Information stored on your Mac
GridLoupe stores the paths of up to 12 recently opened sources in macOS app preferences so you can open them again. You can clear this list from the app. Appearance preferences are also stored locally. Flags and star ratings are kept in the app’s current session.
Actions you choose
If you use Share, GridLoupe hands the selected files to the macOS sharing service you choose. That service’s privacy practices apply to the share. If you choose “Move File to Trash” and confirm it, GridLoupe moves the selected file to your Mac’s Trash. These actions happen only when you initiate them.
Developer collection
The GridLoupe app does not collect personal information or usage data for the developer. It does not use an account, tracking, analytics, or advertising service. We do not sell your data.
This website
The GridLoupe website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Visiting the website may provide your browser’s technical request information to Google and the site’s hosting provider. This is separate from using the macOS app.
